Cycling route Amersfoort and Utrechtse Heuvelrug

From Bosch & Duin you drive through the woods towards Soest. At junction 69 you cycle over the Soester Eng. This area is a protected village view, you will see Windhond Windmill and the village church from 1350. Further on you cycle along the Eem. You will largely drive over the Grebbelinie dike, which has been made visible again. On the edge of the old city center of Amersfoort you will pass the Koppelpoort and the Monnikendam, two medieval city gates. A little later you will encounter the Grebbe Line again, while you drive along the Valleikanaal around Leusden. You will see several bunkers along the water. Via Landgoed Den Treek you enter the vast forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
