Views
Zoetermeer is a pleasant park-rich city located on the edge of the Groene Hart National Landscape. The former mining village is surrounded by picturesque polder landscapes where cycling is wonderful thanks to the panoramic views. You cycle along the edge of the bird-rich Prielenbos to the Zoetermeerse Plas, a former sand extraction area. The water here is 40 meters deep. You cycle through the vast Zoetermeersche Meerpolder to the city, enjoying the views.
Zoetermeer parks
Along the edge of the Buyten Park you suddenly drive through a wild landscape with heathland and beautiful viewpoints. You will see Galloway cattle, Exmoor ponies and Drenthe heath sheep. The enormous Westerpark, a little further away, has numerous birds and butterflies: many native trees and shrubs have been planted here. Back at Boerderij't Geertje you can enjoy something tasty in the restaurant before you go home. Or take a tasty souvenir with you to take home!
