Along the water through the Green Heart

Your route starts at Farm't Geertje, where you can immediately take something tasty with you for the road. This beautiful water-rich route leads you along the Noord Aa and Zuidbuurtse Watering to the former peat polders with all their ditches. From the Weipoortseweg you can continue pedaling along the Weipoortse Vliet and the impressive seventeenth-century farms of the Weipoort hamlet. The Zoetermeerse Plas has a deepest point of 40 meters and was actually dug for sand extraction. Now you can enjoy a wonderful view from the saddle over the rippling water and the surrounding vast polder land. On the north side of the lake you drive close to the Prielenbos, a nice rough forest. If you cycle here around dusk, you might spot one of the owls!
