A day through beautiful Belgian forests

You can cycle for hours through the vast nature around the Belgian towns of Kalmthout and Brasschaat. A wonderful way to switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Forests of Brasschaat
Immediately after boarding you cycle into the woods around Brasschaat. One moment you are driving between fragrant conifers, the next under the canopy of stately deciduous trees. Many streams run through the forests, providing a varied landscape and some refreshment. You also drive a few kilometers through the vast countryside east of Kalmthout. Here you pass through the Maatjes, a unique nature reserve with reed fields, swamp forests and wet meadows. It is wonderfully quiet here.

Suske and Wiske
On the edge of Kalmthout you will pass the Provincial Suske and Wiske Children's Museum. A fun place, also for adults who grew up with the exciting adventures of this famous duo. The museum is located in the former workshop of Willy Vandersteen, the spiritual father of Suske and Wiske. The route ends at Monida Bistro-Cremerie. On the menu you will find a wide choice of tasty treats: for your breakfast, meal or just in between, such as a homemade ice cream.
