Your route starts in Gronsveld, at De Kwizzenjer. After a cup of coffee, put on your walking shoes. The lush Savelsbos of over 240 hectares lies between the villages of Gronsveld, Cadier en Keer and Eckelrade. A beautiful destination for a walk. During this route you will also get to know the village of Cadier en Keer, on the Margraten Plateau. The rural area around this village is, as it were, the gateway to the rolling South Limburg Hills. From the higher plateau you can enjoy beautiful views of Maastricht and the Maas Valley. Around Cadier en Keer there are ancient forests, rolling farmlands and vineyards that complete the idyllic picture. You walk back through Gronsveld, where you will find beautiful sights such as a castle and a church from 1700.
