Tour of Oost Castle and Valkenburg

Your route starts at De Zoete Zoen. Set aside a full day for this walk, as you will pass all sorts of lovely spots to visit. Museums, castles, caves – you won't get bored! From your starting point, you walk straight into the forest. Passing under the Wilhelminatoren, you walk towards the Geul. Via the Geulpark and Kasteel Oost, you make a beautiful loop through the greenery. From here, you walk straight into charming Valkenburg. Take the time to pay a visit to the Land van Valkenburg Regional Museum. Right along the Geul lies Kasteel Den Halder, a fortified residential tower that once stood against the medieval city wall. You walk back past Gemeentegrot Valkenburg – another nice spot to take a break!
