The Meuse Valley is a wonderful place to cycle. This route lets you explore both sides of the border. First, you'll cycle for a few kilometers through the natural Belgian part of the valley. Here, you can enjoy the tranquility of cycling on quiet, car-free roads. From the Geulerweg, you'll have a magnificent view of the Meuse River. Across the river in Geulle aan de Maas, you can admire St. Martin's Church, and just outside the village lies the outer bailey of the former Geulle Castle. Along Beek, you'll cycle to Schimmert, where you can enjoy a drink on a terrace at Brasserie Mareveld. Via Geulhem, you'll descend to the last attraction on your route: Maastricht's historic city center. From the 13th-century St. Servaas Bridge, the oldest bridge in the Netherlands, you'll have a magnificent view of the surroundings.
