Lakes and mills in the Green Heart

First, you set course for the Kagerplassen: not only beautiful to look at, but also of cultural-historical value due to the characteristic parceling pattern, the striking windmills and the almost complete absence of houses. Here you immediately cheat a bit, because the bicycle ferry sails back and forth between two junctions. You sail to Kaag, enjoying the beautiful lake area. Mills accompany you on this trip. If you continue towards the Braassemermeer, you will see, for example, the special Googermolen from 1717 in the flat polder land along the Ringvaart: the largest round stone ground sailer in the Netherlands. You cycle a bit further along the Langeraakse Plassen, the Woudwetering and the Wijde Aa before returning to your starting point.
