Description
The Veluwe is always a great destination for a day of cycling. This route starts at Camping Het Vossenhol. Today you will not only explore the beautiful nature for which the region is known, you will also discover the beautiful old fortified town of Harderwijk. That will be a day full of variety! This northern loop leads you to the region above Camping het Vossenhol, the area around Harderwijk. First you set course for the Leuvenumse Bos: a varied forest of deciduous and coniferous trees, which is intersected by the Leuvenumsche Beek. A wonderfully varied area. A little further on you cycle into Harderwijk, where you ride along the former Zuiderzee. Harderwijk is a Hanseatic and fortified city. The center, which is a protected cityscape, has almost a hundred monuments such as centuries-old mansions.
