This cycling route starts at De Maasparel - Hotel & Restaurant in the center of the nice old tourist village of Arcen. You cycle the first part along the Maas and arrive in the village of Velden. The den Hamert estate is the heart of forests and heathlands covering approximately 45 hectares. The forests are kept young in a natural way with Galloway cattle, sheep and goats. Via the Velden hamlets of Hasselt and Schandelo you cycle along the border straight through the forests of Landgoed Arcen. It used to be part of Arcen Castle. You can still see beautiful avenues and the castle's ice cellar. The beautiful nature of coniferous and deciduous forests makes it popular as a walking and cycling area. Also get off at Arcen Castle!
