Description
You cycle here through the famous Twente coulisse landscape of rolling fields, woods and fields bordered by hedgerows. The slower you cycle, the longer you enjoy the refreshing Twente peace. Just before Geesteren you pass the Grote Geesterse Molen, a corn mill from 1867. Via the pleasant Tubbergen you cycle towards Ootmarsum through a beautiful green rolling landscape. The road you are cycling on is not called Ladderken for nothing! Ootmarsum is one of the most beautiful towns in Twente. One of the first Twente churches was built here, around 770. Spend a night at your starting point, Camping aan het Twentepad, and fall asleep to the sound of the little owl and barn owl that nest on the yard!
