Cycling through the beautiful Lingewaard

First you pass through the historic and cozy old part of the town of Huissen. A little later you drive along the extensive floodplains along the Lower Rhine. You have beautiful views, including the skyline of Arnhem. Further on you cycle through the wide Hondsbroeksche Pleij and you see the point where the Nederrijn and IJssel branch off. Huis Loowaard is located near junction 65: a beautiful centuries-old castle farm. After you have crossed the Pannerdensch Canal with a ferry, you will pass Doornenburg Castle. This beautiful castle is one of the largest and best preserved castles in the Netherlands. A visit is a true experience! You drive along the Linge to Bemmel for a terrace at Het Wapen. You cycle back to Huissen with a satisfied feeling.
