Description
It is wonderful to walk around the Brabant village of Nuland. You walk through the Nulandse Heide and the woods. In the polders you will find a refreshing peace and space.
Nuland Heath
After you have walked past the Karregat nature reserve, you cross the railway to walk over the Nulandse Heide. Here you see raised heads of shifting sand on which pedunculate oak and Scots pine grow. A little further on you walk into the woods that surround the former Sint Jozefoord monastery. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for clearing your head. In the Dorpsstraat in Nuland you walk past some beautiful villas and the former town hall from 1948.
The Vlijt
On the edge of Geffen you pass De Vlijt. This beautiful corn mill dates back to 1685. Originally it was located in Boxtel, around 1875 it was moved to Geffen for the first time. It was moved to its current location in 1976. Further on, the walk bends towards the polders in the north. You walk here through an old battle landscape where you will find an invigorating peace and space.
