Across the border: a tour of the Kalmthoutse Heide

In the cross-border nature reserve Grenspark De Zoom – Kalmthoutse Heide, the Netherlands and Belgium merge almost seamlessly. Hours of cycling through the forests along heathland and fens: a wonderful cycling area! Shortly after getting on, you will pass Fort Ertbrand, which is part of the Defence Line of Antwerp. In the Dutch part of the border park, you will mainly cycle between fragrant conifers. In the Belgian part, you will also cycle across the vast heathland for which this border park is known. A beautiful place that combines peace and beautiful views. There are several tranquil fens on the heath, get off for a moment to let the beauty of these gems sink in. The route starts at Brasserie De Kar, where you can enjoy a delicious snack and a drink after the tour.
