Cross the border at Oostburg

Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Eenhoorn in Oostburg. Oostburg is the cozy center of West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. At 55 meters, the water tower is the highest point in the area. This route also takes you into Belgium to view a beautiful water area: the Boerekreek. This is Meetjesland, a real polder area where the battle against the sea has left clear traces. On the creek you will see many boats from the nearby water sports center. Something beautiful awaits you in Sint-Jan-in-Ermelo: the cute St-Jan De Doperskerkje, a single-aisled church. Small, typical Zeeland-Flemish villages such as Waterlandkerkje then lead you back to Schoondijke.
