Crossing the border at Oostburg

Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Eenhoorn in Oostburg. Here you can enjoy delicious food but also sleep. Oostburg is the cozy center of West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The water tower is the highest point in the wide area at 55 meters. This route also takes you into Belgium to see a beautiful water area: the Boerekreek. This is Meetjesland, a real polder area where the battle against the sea has left clear traces. On the creek you see many boats from the nearby water sports center. In Sint-Jan-in-Ermelo something else beautiful awaits you: the cute St-Jan De Doperskerkje, a single-nave church. Small, typical Zeeuws-Vlaanderen villages such as Waterlandkerkje then lead you back to Schoondijke.
