Enjoy a lovely walk through a beautiful watery landscape with a view of various windmills.
Heusden and Altena
From the fort you walk south through a beautiful rural area full of meadows, rows of trees and mills: typical of the Land van Heusden and Altena. On the Uppelse Hoek, a beautiful road near Uppel, you will see many old farms. You walk along the De Omloop recreational area to the Uitwijkse Molen, a large see-saw mill built around 1700. You then walk back to your starting point via the edge of Sleeuwijk.
