Cycling through East Groningen, through the Sellingerveld and the Ruiten Aa valley. A deafening silence, ash trees, grasslands and wooded areas: here you will completely recover. Also take a look at the Theater of Nature!

Ter Apel
You cycle through the Sellingerveld nature reserve along the Sellingerbeetse, three sand extraction lakes that have been created here since 1938. A little later you drive to the mill in Ter Haar, a small standard mill from 1832.

Diamonds Aa
You drive back north via the Ruiten Aa valley, a wonderfully quiet area. Further on you cycle into the Sellingerbossen. Here you will find the Theater of Nature, a unique nature viewing hill where nature gives a different performance every day. Be sure to take a look here!

The beautiful Smeerling is located in the Westerwolde region, in the valley of the diamonds A. There you will find Gasterij Natural Smeerling. Naturally prepared regional products are used that you can enjoy on the cozy terrace. The guesthouse is located in one of the eight restored Westerwold farms, which together have the status of a protected village view of Smeerling.
