Description
This route takes you past the remains of peat extraction to Wapserveen, an old peat village, the old hamlet of Oldendiever to the typical green village of Diever.
Via the Postweg, the old connecting road from the 80-year war, you cycle back into the oldest village in Drenthe. Through the stream valley landscape you arrive at one of the two village greens. Different dialects were spoken around every green, which were only a few hundred meters apart as the crow flies.
