The Pearls of Schouwen-Duivenland

This beautiful route takes you from Zierikzee to nice places such as Burgh-Haamstede and Schuddebeurs. On the way you can get a breath of fresh air, while you drive along the Oosterschelde.

Zierikzee
It doesn't take long before you squeeze the brakes after getting on. From the quay you have a beautiful view of the old harbor of Zierikzee. You will see, among other things, the fifteenth-century Zuidhavenpoort that served to protect the southern harbor entrance. You pass open-air museum Museumhaven Zeeland. Here you can see some beautiful old ships. It is wonderful to get a breath of fresh air on the banks of the Oosterschelde. You will pass the Schelphoek nature reserve and a watchtower.

Burgh-Haamstede
The beautiful old Burgh-Haamstede consists of two villages that have grown together. Here you will find Slot Haamstede, a national monument from the thirteenth century. At the end of the route is the small village of Schuddebeurs, beautifully hidden in the green. In the Golden Age, capital houses with associated parks arose here, and forests were created in recent decades.
