Polder walk at Hengstdijk

With this route you will take a long walk through East Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. You will pass small villages and a beautiful creek. Via the polder landscape around Oude Stoof and Strookenstad you will walk to the Groenendijk in Kloosterzande. This mill was probably built around 1690 near Kuitaart as an oil mill. Around 1781 the mill was moved to Kloosterzande and rebuilt as a corn mill. After a restoration, a volunteer miller is regularly active here again. In Lamswaarde you will walk past beautiful old buildings, such as a historic church and a farm from the nineteenth century. After a breath of fresh air and fresh from the sea air you will return to your starting point after 21 kilometers.
