Polder walk at Hengstdijk

With this route you take a long walk through East Zeeland Flanders. You pass small villages and a beautiful creek. You walk through the polder landscape around Oude Stoof and Strookenstad to the Groenendijk in Kloosterzande. This mill was probably built around 1690 near Kuitaart as an oil mill. Around 1781 the mill was moved to Kloosterzande and converted into a flour mill. After a restoration, a volunteer miller is regularly active here again. In Lamswaarde you walk past beautiful old buildings, such as a historic church and farmhouse from the nineteenth century. Exhausted and fresh from the sea air, you arrive back at your starting point after 21 kilometers.
