From Beekbergen across the Veluwe

This route starts at B&B De Koffietuin. From here you can enjoy cycling across the Veluwe, past beautiful villages such as Beekbergen and Otterlo. From the woods you enter Hoenderloo, a village that was founded in 1839. At node 13 you can see the well from 1843 that reverend Otto Heldring had dug for the poor villagers living in sod huts. He also had a school and church built. It is wonderful to make kilometers through the Veluwe. From the gently sloping cycle path you will be treated to views over the heath one time, the next you will be riding between the fragrant conifers. Hidden in the Ugchelse Bos you will find a unique old agricultural settlement: Hoog-Buurlo. It seems as if you have traveled here a few centuries back in time.
