Cycling route: 547004

At De Piet nature reserve you have a beautiful view from the dike over the water and the bird-rich islands in the Veerse Meer. You can cross to Noord-Beveland with a ferry. You come ashore in Kortgene. In this beautiful village you can see the church tower from the fifteenth century. This is the only medieval building that survived the All Saints Flood of 1532 (which flooded the whole of Noord-Beveland). Kamperland was founded around the year 1000, but was swallowed up by the sea water during the All Saints Flood. The village was later rebuilt and you can visit the Zeeuws Planetarium here, among other things. Veere is a picturesque fortified town, be sure to stop here!
