Delightful Veere
In the western part of Zeeland lies a peninsula where the vastness of the province can be seen in a beautiful way: Walcheren. But the first thing on the program is Veere, one of the most beautiful and cosiest fortified towns in the Netherlands. You can admire beautiful monuments, such as the Grote Kerk from 1348. The town hall with its beautiful facade dates from the fifteenth century. So just get off!
Veerse Meer
Then you drive past another must: the Veerse Meer, where you can drive beautifully close to the water, overlooking the water sports enthusiasts. Via Zeeland villages you cycle to Middelburg, the second most important city in the Netherlands at the time of the VOC. You can still see many beautiful buildings from this golden age.
