Cycling route Stokkum, Markelo and De Borkeld

In the countryside around the town of Goor it is wonderfully quiet cycling. You cycle through a landscape of grassy meadows, shady roads and stream valleys. East of Markelo you cycle over a slightly undulating cycle path through the woods. Further on you cycle through Stokkum. Thanks to the well-preserved old farms, part of this town enjoys a protected village view. A little later you come through Markelo. Here you can take a look at the beautiful Martinus church. The Borkeld nature reserve consists of a mosaic of forests, heathland and grasslands. The largest juniper shrub in the Netherlands also grows here. Just before junction 43 you cycle through the valley of the river De Regge. Finally you cycle over the towpath along the Twenthekanaal. The route ends at Camping De Kroeze Danne.
