Description
The transition area between Salland and Twente is a wonderful place to cycle. You will find plenty of natural beauty and peace! The first few kilometres will take you past vast meadows and fields through the former Twente peat area. You will pass through Vroomshoop, after which you will cycle through several wooded estates. You will pass through Beerze, a town that enjoys a protected village view because of its beautiful monumental farms. Past Junne you will cross the Vecht and cycle through Boswachterij Hardenberg. Further on lies Rheeze: one of the most beautiful brink villages in Overijssel. You will see centuries-old Saxon farms surrounded by meadows and stately old trees. The next few kilometres will take you through the Vechtdal where you will enjoy the view of flowery grasslands.
