Description
You will notice it immediately as you drive east: the landscape begins to undulate. Just before Nieuwstadt you will drive between the old deciduous trees of the Limbrichter Bos. In Nieuwstadt the thirteenth-century street plan has been beautifully preserved. At the Markt you will see the former Town Hall from 1883. The Sint-Janskerk is built from marl, which originally dates from the thirteenth century. After the picturesque German towns of Millen and Tüddern, you will discover the beautiful village of Jabeek in the Netherlands. Here you can fully enjoy the views and characteristic old farms. You can make a stop at the cozy Gasterie Hedelfinger in Bingelrade. Just below Schinnen you will drive through the beautiful valley of the Geleenbeek. Further on you will pass Kasteel Stein, with the ruins of a marlstone keep from 1200.
