Cycling through the Achterhoek coulisselandscape

This route takes you through the coulisse landscape between Lichtenvoorde, Ruurlo and Groenlo. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here on car-free roads. Ideal for a day of relaxation. From junction 26 you cycle a bit along the Baakse Beek, while looking out over grasslands and the row of deciduous trees next to the water. South of Ruurlo you cycle over Landgoed De Kooi, after which you pick up the leafy path along the Slinge at junction 91. This lowland stream rises near Winterswijk and flows into the Berkel near Borculo. Beltrum is the only town on your route, here you can see the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Hemelvaartkerk from 1846. Just above Groenlo you pick up the Slinge again, after which you cycle back to Skik & Zo Eten & Drinken.
