On foot through Zeeland and the Maashorst

From De Heische Tip you can take a beautiful walk through the countryside around the village of Zeeland. You also pass through the forests of the Maashorst.

Brabant Zeeland
Zeeland is not only a province, it is also a charming village near Uden in Brabant. You walk past De Dageraad, a beautiful flour mill from 1832. At junction 58 you see the monumental village church from the mid-nineteenth century. In the quiet countryside you will see some beautiful characteristic farms. In Oventje there is a unique monument near junction 69: a broken electricity pole. The metal pole collapsed during the infamous Storm Disaster of 1925.

Maashorst
Further on you walk into the Maashorst, the largest contiguous nature reserve in North Brabant. You mainly walk between fragrant conifers. It is nice and quiet here, an ideal opportunity to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The route ends at De Heische Tip, where you can eat and drink at your leisure on the terrace.
