Description

The route starts and ends at Restaurant Aan De Hoeve, where you can start with a delicious snack and drink. In the middle of the Meinweg National Park you will pass Vlodrop Station, a hamlet that once lay on the Iron Rhine, the former railway between Antwerp and Monchengladbach. Until February 2015, the famous College Sint Ludwig stood at junction 95. After years of vacancy, the monastery was finally demolished. The Meinweg National Park is known for its unique terraced landscape. These terraces were created over tens of thousands of years by the erosion of the Meuse and three fault lines in the earth's crust. Here you cycle through dense old forests and stream valleys. Sometimes on an asphalt road, but also on a cycle path. It is exceptionally quiet here, especially on a weekday. When they return, the children can still enjoy the De Gitstap playground.
