Description
This route takes you along Places of Happiness: special places that make local residents happy. The first sight on your route is Daelenbroeck Castle, which is located at the end of Kasteellaan. Feel free to take a look. First, you pass the monumental farm, a little further on is the eighteenth-century castle building. The castle's compass rose is one of the Places of Happiness in Roerdalen. In the countryside, you walk along the meandering Roer. You will see meadows and orchards here, but also a real lounge sofa. Sit down for a while and enjoy this Place of Happiness. The Vlodroppermolen is a watermill from 1875. Take a break at Tuincentrum Schmitz! Then you walk a bit through the forest that is located on the edge of the Meinweg National Park.
