Bicycle route Callantsoog, Wieringerwaard and Schagen

In the northernmost part of North Holland, it is wonderful to cycle through the vast landscape. You soon pass the first point of interest. In Sint Maartensvlotbrug, you ride over one of the five remaining pontoon bridges in the Netherlands. In Callantsoog, you pass the beautiful Reformed Church from 1580. In the distance, you see the Groote Kaap lighthouse appearing on the horizon. This steel tower is nearly seventeen meters high and is still used to signal water traffic. Via Julianadorp, you ride to Breezand. There you will see the Polderhuis, the first house built in this village in 1612!
