In and around Schoorl you will find plenty of natural beauty, but also cultural history. For example, you will pass the Kijkduin, a corn mill from 1772. A little later you will take a detour through the polder. In the distance you will see the Schoorlse Duinen, which you enter from junction 24. The dense forests were created in the nineteenth century, because the residents of Schoorl wanted to prevent their village from disappearing under the drifting sand. In recent years, the conifers have been replaced by birch, oak and shrubs in some places. It makes your walk wonderfully varied. Just past junction 32 you can enjoy a wide view of the area. And get some fresh air. Back in Schoorl you will pass the beautiful Town Hall from 1601. And you can enjoy a nice meal at Restaurant Honky Tonk.
