Bicycle route Tegelen, Baarlo and Panningen

This route takes you through the Limburgse Peel and along the Meuse. You start in Beringe, after which the route leads you through Koningslust and Maasbree. Just before junction 27, you make a shortcut through Dubbroek, a wooded area situated in an old arm of the Meuse. At junction 59, you pass De Berckt. The original 13th-century castle was demolished in 1830 and rebuilt in the Italian style. You cross the Meuse by ferry, where you can see the spires of St. Michael's Church. A little further on stands Holtmuhle Castle. In Tegelen, you can enjoy a meal at Brasserie RACH, after which you return to the other side of the Meuse bank via Steyl. Via Baarlo, you cycle to the Boekenderbos and the Heldense Bossen. Via Panningen, you return to Beringe.
