Description

Grevenbicht is a Limburg village that lies in a meander of the Maas. You will find a friendly atmosphere, beautiful sights and a quiet outside area with beautiful views of the Maas.

Grevenbichter mill
Soon you will pass the beautiful Grevenbichtermolen on the Kingbeek. It was built in 1660 as a water mill by the local residents. In 1820 the mill was publicly sold to a miller. In 1887 the mill got a new owner. He replaced the water wheel with a turbine, it is the oldest working turbine of Dutch manufacture.

A little later you walk a long way along the Grensmaas. Nature has recently been allowed to take its course here. You walk along meadows rich in flowers and herbs, and you also pass some fish ponds surrounded by trees. The route takes you through Obbicht for a bit, after which you walk back into the rural area around Grevenbicht. It is wonderfully quiet walking here. After your walk you can enjoy a drink and a delicious meal at Eetcafé Aurora.
