Description
Uitspanning de Blauwe Kei is located in Belgium near Lommel on the canal from Bocholt to Herentals. There is a spacious terrace and, on weekends, often live music from Belgian schlagers. Just beyond the Blauwe Kei is an old and picturesque lock complex.
The beautiful route largely runs through the forest area and cultural area of the Kempen, along the villages of Weebosch and Luyksgestel, the nature theater and the Zwarte Bergen campsite. At 44 meters, the highest point in Brabant is located on the border of the"cycle path without borders\\\". The exit to the cycle path along the canal deserves attention (cyclists from both directions!).
On the way back, the route first passes through the Pielis extraction area, which was developed after the Second World War. Until then, the area was owned by two Belgian barons. The last part of the route leads through the forest area"de Kempen\\\".
