Enjoy the Gooi

Low Vuursche
In Boswachterij De Vuursche, deciduous and coniferous trees alternate. It is wonderful to cycle here in the silence. On the way, you can take a look at Kasteel De Hooge Vuursche from 1912. Further on, you cycle through Lage Vuursche, a village with a protected village view because of the beautiful eighteenth and nineteenth century houses that you find here. From junction 82 to 56, you cycle over the wooded border between North Holland and Utrecht.

Grand Café Groeneveld
East of Hilversum you drive over the Zuider-, Wester- and Bussumerheide. Enjoy beautiful views here. Via Natuurbrug Zanderij Crailoo, the largest ecoduct in the world, you drive into the Spanderswoud. At the end of the route you arrive at Kasteel Groeneveld, a country estate that dates back to the eighteenth century. In the coach house of this castle you will find Grand Café Groeneveld where you can enjoy a delicious snack and a drink. The castle is located on an estate of approximately 130 hectares with a beautiful garden with different landscape styles.

The Table Mountain
Between Blaricum and Bussum you will find the highest point of the Gooi: the 36 meter high sand ridge called the Tafelberg. This mountain is located in the middle of the Tafelbergheide and the Blaricummerheide. This heathland is approximately 74 hectares in size and has various height differences that were created during the ice age. Furthermore, you will find various clay pits here that were created because people used clay in the past to make floors.
