A figure eight over the Holterberg

Your route starts at Restaurant & IJssalon Nijkamp. This route runs in a figure eight, so you will pass your starting point again around lunchtime. With its own bakery, that is no punishment! The Holterberg is located in the middle of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. Ideal for exploring by walking. The route also takes you through Holten and the nearby hamlet of Beuseberg. It is a bit of a climb before you reach the top of the almost sixty-metre high Holterberg, but at the top you can catch your breath with a breathtaking view of the heathland and coniferous forests of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. South of the village you walk through the varied surroundings of the hamlet of Beuseberg. In the atmospheric Holten you can see the village church from 1832 with its beautiful white tower.
