A figure eight over the Holterberg

Your route starts at Restaurant & IJssalon Nijkamp. This route runs in a figure-eight, so you will return exactly to your starting point around lunch. With our own bakery, that's no punishment! The Holterberg is located in the middle of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. Ideal for exploring with a walk. The route also takes you through Holten and the nearby hamlet of Beuseberg. It takes some climbing before you reach the top of the almost sixty meter high Holterberg, but at the top you can catch your breath with a breathtaking view of the heathland and coniferous forests of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. South of the village you walk through the varied surroundings of the Beuseberg hamlet. In atmospheric Holten you can see the village church from 1832 with its beautiful white tower.
