Description
You can take a nice walk through a gently sloping landscape between the Limburg villages of Beesel and Reuver. You also walk through Kessel, a picturesque town on the other side of the Maas.
Meuse bank
The route also takes you along the orchards on the edge of Beesel. You walk along the Huilbeek that flows into the Maas here. From the Meuse bank you have a beautiful view of Kessel: your next destination.
Castle Keverberg
You cross the river with a ferry, always a fun experience! At IJssalon Clevers Kessel it's time for a refreshing stopover! At the Markt you can see an old water pump and some beautiful monumental buildings. You will also pass Castle Keverberg. The former ruin has been refurbished in a very special way, the castle is worth a visit. Further on you cross the Maas again.
