Description

Noordwijk is best known as a seaside resort with a pleasant beach boulevard, but in the historic part of this former fishing village you can admire many old buildings. Especially in Noordwijk's Voorstraat you will see many centuries-old buildings, ranging from simple houses to mansions. One of the oldest buildings in Noordwijk is the Gothic Oude Jeroenskerk from the fifteenth century. On the coast you will pass the monumental lighthouse from 1923. It has a light height of over 33 meters. A visit to Noordwijk is not complete without cycling into the dunes. From the high dune tops you have beautiful views of the bulb fields and of course the beach and the North Sea. Around Oegstgeest you drive through a watery polder landscape. Be sure to stop at Tuincentrum TuineXtra/Landwinkel Noordwijk along the way!
