Cycling is wonderful in the scenic landscape of the Achterhoek. Besides peace and quiet, you will also find beautiful places such as Neede and Geesteren. You also take a trip to Diepenheim in Twente.
Den Haller
The eleventh-century church in Geesteren is unique: it has a gable roof, the tower has a stepped gable with two weathercocks. Gelselaar is a charming esdorp village that enjoys a protected village view. In Diepenheim you can admire the Johanneskerk from 1679. A little further on you come to the Watermolenweg along the picturesque landscape around Den Haller, probably the oldest existing watermill in the Netherlands. Wow! In Haarlo you can view the octagonal monumental church that the residents call De Kluntjespot (sugar bowl).
Idyllic Achterhoek
Extensive nature reserves may be missing on this route, but there is plenty of natural beauty to experience in this region. You drive through a wonderfully quiet scenic landscape of meandering streams, hedgerows and authentic Saxon farms. Here you will experience unprecedented tranquility by Dutch standards. It will take little effort for you to switch back here and charge the battery.
