Description
Put on your walking shoes and go exploring in the Brabant village of Boekel. Here you will find several historical sights, a friendly atmosphere and beautiful nature. You walk through the relatively new nature reserve Perekker. In the eastern part along the ponds and pool you can see the Peelrandbreuk here. In Boekel there are several beautiful historical buildings. Such as the Molen Boekel, a beautiful corn mill from 1785. However, it is not allowed to turn or even be moved due to a disagreement about plot rights. The monumental Sint-Agathakerk and adjacent parsonage date from 1925. The church served as a replacement for a sunken Waterstaatskerk. This in turn had replaced a fourteenth-century chapel.
