The Achterhoek: a true cycling paradise

First you cycle into Lochem. In the old city center you will find a wonderful historic atmosphere thanks to the many monumental buildings. Here you can admire the St. Gudula Church, which dates back to the Middle Ages. A little later you drive through the forests that lie on the flanks of the Lochemse Berg, a hill about 50 meters high. You drive to Ruurlo via Barchem. In this cozy town you will see the beautiful village church from 1350. Ruurlo Castle is a beautiful moated castle that was originally built in the Middle Ages. It houses a museum on modern realism. You can get off at the Heeren van Wolfersveen for a delicious meal, after which you cycle through the Hoenderkamp Estate. Finally, you drive through the forests of the Grote Veld nature reserve.
