Tour of Vinkeveen and Breukelen

This route takes you through the peat landscape between Vinkeveen and Breukelen. From the cycle path you can enjoy expansive views over a water-rich landscape. You see straight plots of land with monumental farms and grazing cows. There is also no shortage of cultural history. For example, you pass the Veenmolen from 1823. A little later you have a beautiful view over the Vinkeveense Plassen. And on the other side of the water you pass the thirteenth-century Kasteel Loenersloot. From the towpath along the Vecht you can see how man has created his own paradise on earth with country estates and orchards. You pass through the picturesque Nieuwersluis, a former fortified village. So fully charge the battery of your camera!
