Lauwersmeer National Park is a unique wilderness of water, forests and rough grasslands full of orchids. More than a hundred species of birds breed here. In spring and autumn you can see and hear thousands of geese migrating over. While cycling you might even see the sea eagle flying over, which has been breeding here again for a number of years. You start and end this tour from the quiet Camping de Rousant. In the picturesque Frisian terp village of Anjum you can see the Michaelkerk from 1100. Don't forget to stop at Uitkijkpunt Ezumakreeg Noord to spot birds! Also get off at LauwersmeerPlezier! for a well-deserved rest.
