Walking in the outskirts of Hoensbroek

The rolling countryside of Hoensbroek in South Limburg is great for walking. This route takes you through the natural surroundings of Thull, Schinnen and Oirsbeek. You walk around the Mulderplas, which is part of the Geleenbeek valley. It is wonderfully quiet walking in the forest between the hills. Then you walk a bit up the Krekelberg. The walking path leads you along the edge of the forest, so that you can enjoy beautiful views of the area. At Brasserie De Muldermolen you can enjoy a nice drink and snack. The original Mulder mill was built around 1331. After a major renovation, the building opened in March 2016 as a cozy brasserie.
