Walking in the countryside of Hoensbroek

It is wonderful to walk in the rolling countryside of Hoensbroek in South Limburg. This route takes you through the nature-rich surroundings of Thull, Schinnen, and Oirsbeek. You walk a loop around the Mulderplas, which is part of the Geleenbeek Valley. It is wonderfully peaceful walking here in the forest between the hills. Next, you walk a short distance up the Krekelberg. The walking path leads you along the edge of the forest, allowing you to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding area. At Brasserie De Muldermolen, you can enjoy a nice drink and a snack. The original Muldermolen was built around 1331. After extensive renovations, the building opened as a cozy brasserie in March 2016.
