From Santpoort you first drive to Bloemendaal, a town where you can spot many monumental buildings. The beautiful Village Church dates from 1636. Further on you cycle along the wooded edge of Buitenplaats Elswout, after which the route takes you through the villa village of Aerdenhout. Just past Zandvoort you drive along the beach boulevard. From the saddle you have a beautiful view of the North Sea. After Bloemendaal aan Zee you drive through Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Netherlands. In the dunes you can enjoy the silence and the varied natural beauty. Just before Santpoort-Zuid you pass the remains of the thirteenth-century Brederode Castle. In the nineteenth century, the castle was restored as a ruin and became the first national monument. The route ends at Brasserie de Boemel.
