Cycling from Boskoop through the Green Heart

On this cycle route you have beautiful views of the Green Heart of the Netherlands from many dikes. Part of the tour you cycle through the Utrechtse Waarden, a characteristic landscape of orchards, wooded areas, ditches and vast polders. Characteristic, old farms lie along the dikes. The route starts in Boskoop. From here you cycle via Woerden to Driebruggen. Take a break here at the seventeenth-century Oukoopse Molen. The last part runs over the beautiful Reeuwijkse Plassen. In the rectangular shape of the lakes you can see how the former peat lands were divided into plots at the time. The peat was used by potteries and brewers in Gouda, among others. Once back in Boskoop you can enjoy a snack and a drink on the terrace at the cozy café Roos eten & drinken. Time to relax!
