Walking through the picturesque Reestdal

At Brasserie De Boerderij you will first eat a delicious meal, so that you can set off with sufficient energy. In the Reestdal you will walk through a mosaic of hayfields, old hedgerows, ash trees, heathland and forests. The peace and the unspoilt character of this area make the Reestdal a true paradise for walking nature lovers. Thanks in part to the many old thatched farms, you will feel like you are in an open-air museum. You will walk across the gently rolling heathland of the Wildenberg. Here you will see some beautiful solitary oak trees. A little further on you will pass through Den Huizen, an old hamlet consisting of four characteristic farms. After a pit stop at Brasserie & Camping Si-Es-An, the second loop of this route takes you through the Haardennen nature reserve. Here too, there is plenty to enjoy!
