Cycling through the Gooise forests

You can take beautiful bike rides from Huizen. This route takes you through the Gooise Bossen and through the old village center of Blaricum and Huizen.

Gooise Tafelberg
From Huizen you can easily drive through the beautiful forests. On the right you see the shore of the Gooimeer. A little further on you pass through Valkeveen and Bikbergen, two hamlets with a high villa density. At junction 80 you are almost at the highest point in the Gooi: the 36 meter high sand ridge called Table Mountain. Finds in prehistoric burial mounds show that people have been living here since 2500 BC.

Picturesque Blaricum
You drive quite a few kilometers through the beautiful Gooise Forests. You pass the Blaricummerheide, the Westerheide and the Zuiderheide. What beautiful views you have here from the saddle! In Blaricum you cycle through the historic center that enjoys a protected village view. You will also be amazed by the sights in Huizen.
