The Westland is more than just a Glass City. You will also find small-scale nature reserves and historic towns.
\\\'t Woudt
From Den Hoorn, which is located just below Delft, you can drive straight into the polder. After junction 54 you will pass't Woudt. Feel free to take a look at this ancient town that enjoys a protected village view in its entirety. The tower of the Dorpskerk dates back to the fourteenth century. There are also several centuries-old farms and houses: no wonder that time seems to have stood still here.
Beautiful Maasland
You drive through the Kralingerpolder to Maasland, a picturesque ancient mining village. In 1574 this area was still under water when William of Orange had the dikes pierced to expel the Spaniards. In Maasluis you can make a well-deserved stopover at Monsieur Paul, a lunch café in the historic city center. Then you drive a few kilometers through the grasslands and along the bushes in the surprisingly quiet polders. The picturesque Den Hoorn is your final destination.
From Monsieur Paul you can also drive route 538650.
